Madeleine McCann Case Update: British Police Assist Portuguese Authorities With Witness Questioning

Last year, in December, the British police who was investigating the disappearance of Madeleine McCann came to Portugal in order to assist Portuguese authorities with the questioning of 11 possible witnesses.

Detectives from Scotland Yard, part of Operation Grange have flown to Faro and spent three days overseeing the questioning of four British people and another seven Portuguese citizens.

Despite the fact that everybody wants to know what is happening, according to Daily Telegraph, Scotland Yard refused to make any comment on the latest investigation.

At the end of December, detective Chief Inspector Nicola Wall replaced retired detective Chief Inspector Andy Redwood who led the UK investigation. Detective Chief Inspector Nicola Wall travelled with Operation Grange detectives to Portugal in December to in order to meet Portuguese officials. British officers spent many days searching close to where Madeleine McCann disappeared, but they couldn't find any evidence.

Madeleine McCann disappeared on May 3, 2007 from her family's apartment as her mother and father were having dinner in some friends' restaurant nearby. She was only 3 when she was taken away from her family.

Portuguese police had decided to close the investigation of her disappearance in 2008, but her parents had requested Scotland Yard to open a new inquiry in 2011.

Madeleine McCann disappearance is one of the most famous missing person's cases of all time. There were many speculations, but none led to Madeleine who is wondering somewhere in the world right now. Her parents, Kate and Gerry McCann are convinced that their daughter is alive and that they will find her.
