‘Mad Men’ Season 7 Part 2 Release Date, Spoilers: Mid-Season Finale Features Bert Cooper’s Death
It was a melancholic mid season finale for Mad Men with Bert Cooper's death. But the more saddening story, according to critics, is that it is going to be the final seven episodes before AMC closes the curtain for the show.
Mad Men Season 7 did not end with any cliffhangers or unresolved issues to be tackled when the show resumes next year. However, there were certainly major events in Waterloo that left fans mourning. Bert Cooper, one of the oldest founders of Sterling Cooper & Partners, died an unexpected death leaving the agency hanging. Now, Don gets his position back with no one to share the bittersweet victory.
AMC's Mad Men is famous for its characters with seemingly unending personal issues whose job is to make the lives of the people around them unhappy. The Sydney Morning Herald quoted Dr. Brian Morris of RMIT saying, "Not only did viewers invest hours of their lives watching TV but fans of these shows could spend hours on the internet digging deeper into characters, looking at fan forums and reading about the makers and actors. Many people invested much of themselves in shows, leading to a sense of loss when it finished."
Nevertheless, fans felt that Waterloo was another appropriate ending for the first part of Season 7. It ended in death and divorce, but all the more, critics say that there was a sense of achievement for all the events.
Mad Men Season 7 Part 2 resumes early 2015, but no exact date has been announced.
