Mad Men's Peggy Olson has an interesting season ahead of her as the formerly powerless secretary is now more prominent in the show. What is Olson's fate in the new season? Will her affair with married employer Ted Chaough (Kevin Rahm) ever pan-out, or did she lose him when he moved to California?

Peggy Olson started working at Sterling-Cooper at the lowest possible spot on the totem pole: in the secretarial pool. But, luckily, Don Draper (Jon Hamm) and some of the other creative staff discovered her potential. She began as a token girl in an all boys' squad of creative talent, but she gradually moved to the top of the game.

Peggy started having no confidence at all, even sleeping with account executive Pete Campbell, (Vincent Kartheiser) just to fit in. Later, however, Olson quickly became a trailblazer, enjoying the company of Bohemians and becoming one of the first woman to successfully run the creative department for an advertising company.

Inadvertently, Peggy stabs boyfriend Abe Drexler (played by Charlie Holfheimer) in Season 6 Episode 9, and they break up. This allows admirer and supervisor Ted Chaoughto fill the space left by their falling apart and become a romantic interest in Peggy's life. Unfortunately, Ted decides that he can't leave his wife and children and we see Peggy regretting that she went in for a relationship with a married man. Even so, does she still hold out hope that they will get back together?

The season ends for Peggy as she sits in the creative director's chair of her company after Draper is ousted, visually depicting that she has risen to the top.

So, are there any hints about what Season 7 has in store for the favorite underdog of the Sterling-Cooper family?

Elizabeth Moss recently told entertainment weekly: "I'm not even necessarily supposed to tell you I'm on the show, for me - definitely everything is where it should be. And it is so early. It is still the beginning at this point so I barely know anything anyway. But I'm very happy with where it is. I can say that."

Speculations may fly, but it seems we still don't know anything about Olson's character's new season will progress.
