Macy's 4th of July Fireworks 2014: NBC TV Start Time, How to Watch, Best Places to View Fireworks on East River NYC

Macy's 4th of July fireworks spectacular will take place on Friday, and this year the show returns to the East River for what should be another amazing show. For information on start time, and where best to watch that display and others in the New York area please see below.

Macy's Firework Show

Start time: 9:00 p.m.

After a lapse of five years, the 35th Macy's Firework show will commence this year. The show will be launched from the Brooklyn Bridge as well as the barges underneath. Executive producer Amy Kuhl claims a total of 50,000 pounds of fireworks will be used at the show.

The fireworks will explode in harmony with the anthem, while a flag prepared with fireworks will explode in the air to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the "Star Spangled Banner."

While the city will be getting set for the event from around 5 pm., the show will start at 9 pm. The best places to watch the fireworks includes Brooklyn Bridge Park, South Street Seaport, Brooklyn Heights Promenade, the east side of Lower Manhattan.

Brooklyn: Brooklyn Cyclones at Coney Island

Start time: First pitch is at 6 p.m.

Facing off against the Aberdeen Firebirds, The fireworks at the Coney Island's Cyclones will set off post-game. In fact, this is the official Coney Island July 4th Fireworks Spectacular, and you can definitely find a suitable spot on the beach to watch the spectacle. Queens: New York Mets in Flushing

Start time: First pitch is at 7:10 p.m.

Manhattan: Empire State Building Light Show

Start time: 9 p.m.

While the Empire State Building has a selection of 16 million colors, this year, they will only be using three. The celebrations will begin with a light show that has been described as "rivaled the fireworks." In addition, this year they will also light up "in a dynamic sparkle." Best place to watch the celebrations is from anywhere with a clear view of the skyscraper.

Staten Island: SI Yankees at Richmond County Bank Ballpark

Start Time: First pitch is at 7 p.m.

The fortunate inhabitants of Staten Island do not even require leaving the borough to take pleasure in a ball game and a firework show. Steve Violetta, Staten Island CEO, asserts that these will be the most accessible explosions in the sky for residents of the forgotten borough. New Jersey: Liberty State Park
