Macbook Pro 2014 Release Date, Specs: Intel Processor Chips Delay Revealed

Apple is nearing its release of the newest Macbook Pro and is already giving out information about its specifications. In support of this, the App Store has even released a little teaser.

The release of the Macbook Pro is rumored to happen in September, but nothing can confirm that claim as of now. In preparation for the release of the new Macbook Pro, Apple has been giving away a zero percent financing deal on existing Macbook Pro models.

The move is an attempt by Apple to boost sales of the current models to make way for the upcoming new ones. Part of its inventory clearing strategy is giving away gift cards to school students and faculty wishing to purchase Macs.

The release of the new Macbooks are being held up by Intel, with their chip production having been delayed due to unforeseen circumstances.

As for the specs, seeing as how the release of the Macbooks are dependent on Intel's computer chips, the new laptops will be sporting Intel's 14-nanometer Broadwell chips. The chips will be making their way to the iMacs, and the Macbook Air as well.

Because of the delays, Intel will commence production of the low power Core M processors in time for the August release. The U and H Broadwell chip series wont' start production until late in the quarter which means that the Broadwell U 2+3 dual-core chips with GT3 graphics will also not be available. The dual-core chips will be used in the 13-inch Macbook Pro and Macbook Air.

Apple cannot confirm as to when the official release will be but they are trying to make it just in time for the Christmas season.
