MacBook Air Retina 2014 Release Date, Rumors: WWDC 2014 Silence Upsets Fans
The recent Apple World Wide Development Conference (WWDC) on June 2, did not quench fans' thirst for the specifications on the new MacBook Air with Retina Display.
Apple held off on releasing information about the new technology, but assured that it would be announced later this year, with its MacBook Air line up.
The current MacBook Air series doesn't include any Retina type models, but according to some reports, the new version with the higher-resolution screen, will have a 12-inch display, as opposed to the current 11-inch and 13-inch displays.
The 2014 WWDC announced several software improvements coming to their popular Apple products. The OS X 10.9 Mavericks and iOS 7 (both of which were released as beta versions), the new Mac Pro, a new MacBook Air, iTunes Radio, and iWork for iCloud.
With Apple's improvements on its MacBook Air line up this April, there's a close possibility that Retina models will arrive later this year.
It came as a disappointment to Apple fans that very little mention was made about the MacBook Air with Retina Display at the WWDC this year.
Fans were atleast hoping for a release date to be prospected, but as it stands now, they are still waiting for even a glimpse of the new product.
The WWDC 2014 disclosed information about new iOS 8 features for consumers, including new notification styles, an upgrade to the keyboard's auto-correct functionality, support for third-party keyboards, improvements to Mail, and a health tracking feature and companion app, called HealthKit.
