'Love & Hip Hop' Season 5 News Update: Erica Mena and Chrissy 'Monroe' Crastanda Caught Up in Catfight

The recent Season 5 premiere of VH1's 'Love & Hip Hop' reality show brought a lot of intense drama that kept viewers in suspense. With the start of the new season, cast member Erica Mena sat down for an interview to talk about all the tension seen on the show.

Mena told Madame Noire that the series this season is pretty "desperate" and announced that it is her final season on the hit reality show. "Yes, this is done," Mena said frustrated about how the show casts its stars.

"I think it's important to leave when the desperation is so real that they cast just about anybody who goes into casting claiming that they have beef with me," she added.

Afterwards, the engaged celebrity announced her desire to leave the show. "I think it's my time to bow out 'cause at that point they're just reaching, and they're reaching too far and not hitting," she continued.

The person Mena was apparently talking about is new cast member Chrissy "Monroe" Crastanda, who had been rumored to be the one Mena worked for as an escort. Mena said that the rumors were "fictitious and malicious and laughable," she told HOT 97.1.

Previously, during the season premiere of 'Love & Hip Hop" Crastanda revealed that she was personally close with Mena in her interview on the radio show. "I know of her. She was a friend of Fat Joe's wife. I was dating Raul (of Terra Squad) from like 17 to 22 so I was in that relationship while that time she was around," Crastanda said.

"She was a friend of a friend ... there wasn't any personal relationship," Erica told the radio hosts of HOT 97.1.

Erica went on to say that Chrissy's claims were "funny" to her and she was initially "blown away." She said, "I'm like 'who is this' you know?" she added.

Upset about the allegations, Mena said "I'm actually really... I feel good. It means that I'm really a force to be reckoned with. Rich [Dollaz] had no other way to move on than to find someone to pretend to have beef with me, so it's kind of flattering!"
