The Los Angeles Lakers will clash with the Los Angeles Clippers on October 31 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California.

The Lakers (0-2) will face their Pacific divisional rivals the Clippers on Friday night, as Kobe Bryant's team hopes to prevent a possible three game losing streak.

Lakers head coach Byron Scott expressed his thoughts regarding his squad's dreadful start to the new campaign as Los Angles looks to avoid missing the playoffs for two straight seasons.

"I told them we have to hang in there and stay together as a team," said Scott to reporters, "It is only two games."

The Lakers were previously crushed by the Phoenix Suns by a final score of 119-99, despite the fact future NBA HOF Kobe Bryant scored 30 points in a losing effort.

I told you guys from the beginning I am back to myself," said Bryant to reporters, "I feel completely fine."

Last year, Bryant dealt with a chronic knee injury which almost made him miss the entire season during the 2013-2014 campaign.

Meanwhile, the Clippers will try to prolong the Lakers' current anguish when both teams battle each other at their shared home court, the Staples Center.

Clippers head coach Doc Rivers expressed his thoughts about his center DeAndre Jordan's gritty performance last season, where he averaged double-double (10 points, 13 rebounds) per game.

"We need people to help him, you know what I mean? We've got to join in," said Rivers to reporters.

"D.J. is fantastic in what he's doing on the glass, offensive and defensive glass. He's been fantastic. We've all got to pitch in and help him. It's not just the bigs, the guards, too."
