The Dodgers look to defeat the Padres in San Diego tonight. The Dodgers lost the Padres on Sunday by the final score of 3-1. Former San Francisco Giants closer Brian Wilson got the loss for the Dodgers after he blew the game when he gave up a home run to Seth Smith home run that tied the game two nights ago. Zack Greinke looks to get the win tonight when he pitches for the Dodgers later tonight.
"Zack felt good about his last outing," said Dodgers manager Don Mattingly to reporters. "He's a perfectionist, and he's never quite happy. I look for him to pitch well [tonight]."
The Padres are looking to extend their winning streak to two when the face the Dodgers again. Dale Thayer got the victory for San Diego two days ago. Padres are hoping tonight's starter Ian Kennedy will out duel Greinke when the two men oppose each other tonight.
"They're all just one game, but when you're facing a team like the Dodgers, full of great players, Brian Wilson, a guy who knows how to get it done in those situations, it's not easy to do what our hitters did," said Padres closer Huston Street to reporters after he pitched a 1-2-3 ninth inning for the save. "To come back and get three right there in that situation, especially after leaving guys on base early, that's what this team is going to have to do to win. We're going to have to battle all year long."
Tonight's game will start at 6:40 p.m. ET and can be watched on TV on the MLB Extra Innings network or online through live stream by clicking here.
