Liverpool vs Chelsea Live Stream Free: Watch English Premier League Football Online
Liverpool will be looking to take a huge step towards their first Premier League title since the early '90s when they take on a much transformed Chelsea at Anfield on Sunday.
A win for Liverpool in Sunday's clash would mean that Chelsea will no longer be in the race for the title - the Reds would move eight points ahead of the Blues with just two more games remaining of the season.
That would mean the contest for the title would be confined between the team from Merseyside and the men from Manchester, with Liverpool having the edge over City in the race for the Premier League title. However, Manchester will play their next fixture only after Liverpool and Chelsea's clash at Anfield, meaning that a victory for the Reds would put them nine points ahead of Manchester City and on the verge of the title.
The maximum number of points City can reach is 86, which means if Liverpool do win today then they would be on 83, and just need a win and draw from their final two matches - away to Crystal Palace, and home to Newcastle on the final day of the season.
The Reds virtually smell the title, especially after Chelsea's surprise loss to Sunderland last week, but the season is not over quite yet.
But Chelsea may have given up on the Premier League race already. They have a Champions League semi final second leg next week against Atletico Madrid to prepare for, and Jose Mourinho is likely to rest a number of big names in today's clash in preparation for that massive game. But such is the strength and depth of Chelsea's squad, that they would still be a very competitive outfit even with a number of players from the bench promoted into the starting line up.
