Lil Wayne Seizure Suffered in Los Angeles, Hip Hop Star Taken to Hospital

Lil Wayne has had another seizure in Los Angeles.

U.S. hip-hop recording artist says he's "fine" after suffering another epileptic seizure and being briefly hospitalized.

Lil Wayne went to twitter to let his fans know he was OK. "I'm fine. Thank u," he wrote.

The performer was taken by his bodyguards to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center Tuesday night and discharged Wednesday morning following treatment, the TMZ celebrity news website reported.

This was the fourth health scare since October for Wayne.

In a March 28 interview with radio station KPWR, Los Angeles, Wayne said he suffers from epilepsy, a chronic neurological disorder characterized by seizures.

"This isn't my first, second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth or seventh seizure. I've had a bunch of seizures," he said. "Y'all just never hear about them. But this time, it got real bad because I had three of them in a row."

Lil Wayne was born Dwayne Michael Carter Jr. on September 27, 1982 and was raised in New Orleans.
