Lil Wayne Not Apologizing To Miami Heat, Except LeBron James and City of Miami

During All-Star Weekend in Houston, Lil Wayne used his microphone privileges to insult the NBA and the Miami Heat, more specifically LeBron James, Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh. Though the rappers said he stands behind most of what he said that night, he did admit including LeBron in the rant was wrong.

In an interview with 99 Jams in Miami Wayne commented on the verbal assault.

"I don't apologize for that night. "I don't apologize for being who I am. That's who I am, and yes, I did say those things. Only thing I do want to take back from saying that night, I said 'F--- LeBron,' I didn't mean to say that because me and LeBron we are cool and I'm really cool with his mom and we have a real good relationship. That's my homie but it just slipped out. I didn't mean to say that. Other than that though I don't take nothing back."

Weezy spends over $1.5 million every year on Miami Heat season tickets. Apparently Wayne thinks the money should also guarantee him some face time with the players. Sadly the rapper usually gets ignored. During last week's Lakers, Heat matchup Wayne and Dwayne Wade were involved in a heated exchange of "f" bombs.

Pulling for L.A. that night, Wayne was hurling typical insults at the opposing team's players. You know, things like, "Chris Bosh you can't hit a shot; D-Wade stop crying." Being a paying customer, Wayne, along with every other fan, feels they've bought the right to comment on the players. Apparently Dwayne Wade didn't think so.

"Then Dwyane Wade comes over and he looks at me. I said, 'Y'all don't f--- with me, so I don't f--- with ya'll. Yall don't f--- with me.' [Wade] looked me dead in my eye and his exact words were, 'We don't.' He didn't say, 'I don't,' he said, 'We don't.' So I said 'OK, well f--- you' then. He said 'well f--- you.'"

Though he did publicly apologize for comments he made over the weekend about LeBron, citing him as his "homie" and having a good relationship with his mom, he let the comments about the rest of the team stand.

As far as the city of Miami goes, Wayne did want to make one thing clear.

"These people accepted me with open arms since day one, since I was a Hot Boy. It's just totally sports, this ain't got nothing to do with the city of Miami."
