LG Optimus G Pro vs. HTC One Review: Specs, Features, Price, Camera / LG, HTC Knocking on Apple, Samsung's Door [VIDEO]

LG Optimus G Pro vs. HTC One

Deciding which smartphone to buy can be a complicated procedure. One must be aware of all of the specs, features, potential release date and most importantly price. Many of you are just going to purchase either the iPhone 5 [or 5S] or the Samsung Galaxy S4 because they're industry leaders, and easily the most popular phones out. For those of you willing to walk on the wild side, here's a comparison of two exceptional, but lesser known options: the LG Optimus G Pro vs. the HTC One.

When looking at each phone's processors, the specs are identical. Both the LG Optimus G Pro and HTC One have very fast 1.7GHz quad-core processors, and 2048 MB of RAM. Tie.

When it comes to phone's dimensions, the HTC One is a little smaller:

Weight: Optimus G Pro (160g), HTC One (143g)
Thickness: Optimus G Pro (10mm), HTC One (9mm)
Size: Optimus G Pro (70x139x10mm), HTC One (68x137x9mm)

Neither phone is waterproof.

When it comes to photo and video capabilities, the LG Optimus G Pro has an edge over the HTC One. The Optimus G Pro boasts a 13 MP camera as opposed to the HTC One's 4 MP camera. Both support flash and 1080p resolution.

The LG Optimus Pro also features a 3,140 mAh battery while the HTC One only has a 2,300 mAh battery.

However, if radio is your thing, the HTC One features the option to listening to FM stations.

The LG Optimus Pro distinguishes itself the most with it's screen size. The Optimus boasts a 5.5 inch display while the HTC One has 4.7 inch. Both are large screens, but I'd have to give the edge to the HTC One. 5.5-inch is getting into "phablet" territory. Both phones have high-resolution screens (1920x1080).

Now down to the brass tax: price.

The LG Optimus G Pro 16GB is priced $199.99 on AT&T with a 2 year contract while the HTC One 32GB is available at the same price with double the storage.
