Nexus 5X Specs, Price, Release Date: Bug and Security Problems Fixed; More Stability Promising?

A new update for the LG Nexus 5X promised to fix security problems and the camera glitches that users have reported to experience.

Orrin, Nexus community manager, announced on Reddit that the new update to LG Nexus 5X is already starting to roll out.

"We have listened to your feedback, and this update includes a number of bug fixes that will improve overall stability, connectivity, and performance on the Nexus 5X," he wrote. "The March security update will be included with this OTA for the Nexus 5X."

A Reddit thread reported positive feedback on the LG Nexus 5X update, which reportedly fixed the his problems.

"Lag seems to be completely gone, shutter feels snappier and I can multitask (while using camera) like I use to do before I got the nexus 5x," Reddit user iFLame wrote.

LG Nexus 5X features a six-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 CPU and 2 GB or RAM; it also has a 5.2-inch HD display and Adreno 418 GPU. Battery, however, is quite small at 2,700 mAh.

The camera on the Android 6.0 Marshmallow handset features 5-megapixel on the front and 12.3 megapixel on the back.

Meanwhile, aside from the update to the LG Nexus 5X, there's more good news, at least for Indian consumers, as the Google Store is offering a $60 discount up until Mar. 27.

"Currently, the phone is priced at INR 27,900 ($415) for the 16GB model and INR 31,900 ($475) for the 32GB model without the discount," said GSM Arena.

The update for LG Nexus 5X is beginning to roll out but not everyone might get it soon enough. Users who are having problems can go to Settings before clicking on About Phone then manually checking on the updates.
