LG G3 Release Date, Price, Specs: Available Now - What to Expect
LG has unveiled the latest in their flagship series of smartphones. The LG G3 has gone out onto shelves just after Samsung, Sony, and HTC released their own flagships. The G3 will be improving on what made the G2 a great smartphone which has garnered some high expectations.
The G3 will be coming in three codenames, differing between service providers. AT&T will be getting the D-850, D-851, and the Verizon will get the VS985.
As for the phone itself, it has not deviated too much from the design of the previous G2. The screen will get an increase from the 5" of the G2 to the 5.5" of G3. The phone is also sleek and looks incredible with the front of the phone comprised of glass. The body is made with a polycarbonate material to give it a metallic look.
The resolution of the screen is also something to behold, coming in with an incredibly sharp 2k display, higher than any of its competitors. With the 2560 x 1440 display fitting on the 5.5-inch screen, the G3 gets a pixel density of 534ppi. The pixel density is so far the most impressive among all the other smartphones.
The G3 also rocks a 13MP rear facing camera and a 2MP front facing one. The phone runs on a 2.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 quad-core processor, paired with a 3GB RAM. The battery gets a bit overwhelmed by the 2k display that it needs to power, but the G3 sees a 9-hour life before dying out from moderately heavy use.

The LG G3 is already available for purchase at around $850. The price is steep, as expected of a flagship phone, but with the specs included withing the G3, it may all be worth it.
