Lenovo 'Sisley' S90 Release Date: Review of Specs, Price - Chinese Tech Multinational Unveils Smartphone Resembling iPhone 6

Lenovo, the Chinese multinational tech firm, recently launched its latest smartphone, "Sisley" S90, which is almost identical to Apple's latest iPhone 6. Photos posted on the company's Chinese website show that "Sisley" S90 has heavily borrowed various design elements from Apple's previous flagship smartphone, the iPhone 5s.

"Sisley" S90 comes with a metal-curved design and speaker grills akin to those of the iPhone 5s. However, these similarities are confined to the exterior of the Lenovo handset, as its internal features are far behind the specs of the iPhone 6.

The Lenovo "Sisley" S90 comes with a 5-inch Super AMOLED display having a 1280x720 pixel resolution, near-field communication, 1GB of RAM, 13MP camera and a 1.2 GHz Snapdragon chip.

While the camera of S90 offers a higher megapixel camera, the larger physical display of the handset comes with a lower resolution compared to the iPhone 6, which features a 1334x750 pixel 4.7-inch display. In order to make up for the other deficits, the S90 is packed with a bigger 2,300 mAh battery than the 1800 mAh battery of the iPhone 6.

Although the Lenovo smartphone is very different from the iPhone 6, the marketing department of the Chinese tech firm has been smart enough to pick up design cues from the promotions launched by Apple Inc. Similar to the iPhone 6 advertisements released by Apple the Lenovo S90 too is displayed from a side profile in the midst of a green-leafed plant background image.

The 16 GB model of the Lenovo "Sisley" S90 is priced at 1,999 yuan ($326). It is also available in other variants having higher GB.

It may be noted here that earlier this year, Lenovo completed the purchase of Motorola. According to Strategy Analytics, the acquisition gave the company an eight percent share of the global smartphone market.
