Lenny Kravitz Tour 2014 News: Singer-Actor Makes a Comeback, Tours All Set For 2014
The 50-year-old rock singer-songwriter Lenny Kravitz is set to make a comeback with his latest album Strut. The "Fly Away" singer has just recently launched his first single off the album entitled "Sex".
During an interview with Billboard, Kravitz commented that the first single is his favorite amongst all of the songs in his 10th studio album. "Sex" made its official debut earlier this week on Monday, July 28.
Kravitz' first shot to fame happened during the 1990's through his Circus album. One of the songs from the album, "American Woman" was featured on the sensational 'Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me' movie.
More than a decade later, Kravitz laid low in the music industry and started an interior design company, Kravitz Design Studio. The company prides itself in its nonpareil contemporary designs, acquiring high-profile clients such as the likes of Hollywood actress Jennifer Aniston, and rapper-TV host Queen Latifah, and even landed a special feature on CNN.
In between his interior design and singing careers, Kravitz has also made numerous notable appearances as a film actor. The singer has also garnered several acting award nominations for his role as Nurse John in the 2009 film, 'Precious'. Another noteworthy role that the performer had landed is a supporting character in the 2012 blockbuster, the first installment of Suzanne Collins' 'The Hunger Games Trilogy'.
Kravitz latest world tour is set to kick off in Russia, with the first of its concerts scheduled to commence on October 22nd in Moscow, followed by his St. Petersburg show on October 24th. Aside from Russia, the 'Strut' singer is also expected to perform in other European countries such as Finland, Estonia, Lithuania, Belarus, Poland, Germany, Italy, Austria, The Netherlands, Belgium, France, Switzerland, Luxembourg, and the United Kingdom.
