'Legend Of Korra' Season 3 Rumors: Avatar Learns About Red Lotus’ History and Death fo Aiwei
'The Legend Of Korra' Season 3 has made an official changeover to the Internet, and Episode 9 of the latest season of this animated series seems to be full of amazing revelations. As the show's "Book 3" takes a captivating turn, the intention behind the Red Lotus is eventually revealed in this episode.
In Season 3 Episode 9 titled "The Stakeout," the fugitive member of Red Lotus Zaheer said, "We're part of a secret society dedicated to restoring freedom to the world. We are what the White Lotus was meant to be, but after the 100 year war the White Lotus lost its true purpose."
Also, the main antagonist, Unalaq, was revealed as a member of the Red Lotus, who helped the group in their efforts to kidnap Korra when she was just a child.
Zaheer further says in the episode, "Unalaq becoming the Dark Avatar was never part of our mission. I want what you want: to restore balance to this word. You kept the Spirit Portals opened, but why stop there? The idea of having nations and governments is as foolish as keeping the human and Spirit Worlds separate. You've had to deal with a moronic president and a tyrannical queen. Don't you think the world would be better off if leaders like them were eliminated? It wasn't too long ago that the Airbenders were nearly all wiped out thanks to the Fire Lord's desire for world dominance. True freedom can only be achieved when oppressive governments are torn down. The natural order is disorder."
In the next episode titled, "Long Live the Queen," or one soon after that, fans will most likely see the first death of Aiwei, a mole for the Red Lotus in Zaofu. Zaheer will consider the mole a loose end, and throw him into the Fog of Lost Souls.
While this is all new and exciting, some fans of the series are disappointed with the network's choice to keep the show "Online Only."
'The Legend of Korra: Book Three' is available on Nick.com, with new episodes posted on Fridays at 12 pm EST, with previous episodes available to stream as well. Meanwhile, "Book One" and "Book Two" are available to stream on Amazon.
