'Legend of Korra' Book 4 Release Date: Australian Premiere in Jan. or Feb. 2015, Earlier in US?

While it has been confirmed that the 'Legend of Korra' Book 4 will be shown on Nickelodeon Australia sometime in January or February 2015, it has yet to be revealed whether it will be released episode by episode, or all at once.

When a fan posted a question on the Nickelodeon Twitter account recently about whether or not all the episodes will be released together, he or she got a response of, "Nope, can't really confirm anything about book 4."

'Legend of Korra' Book 4 will be 13 episodes long and completely animated by Studio Mir.

The report on IGN read, "Both seasons will screen on Nickelodeon but will also be made available in full on day one through Foxtel Go and Anytime services, with iTunes following shortly after."

Meanwhile, some sources have claimed that the 'Legend of Korra' Book 4 will be released in the United States at an earlier date than in Australia, but Nickelodeon has yet to confirm this.

Nickelodeon told a fan via Twitter, "Plans are always in flux," adding, "We'll report once there's a true press release."

'Legend of Korra' co-creator Bryan Konietzko recently told IGN that Season 4 "is essentially done." Currently, they are working on post-production for the remaining part of the year.

It's already been announced that Book 4 will have a new villain, which is neither a spirit nor a member of Red Lotus, while the Airbenders will undertake a peacekeeping role something akin to the Jedis in the 'Star Wars' franchise.

In the meantime, a recent report by Variety said that Studio Mir has entered into a four-year contract with DreamWorks for four animated television shows. Each series is expected to be a 78-episode 2-D show.

The Variety report read, "Korean companies have often been sub-contractors on international TV shows and animated films - a large portion of the animation of The Simpsons is handled by Korean firms including Anivision and AKOM - but they have rarely been full co-producers or co-owners of the IP."
