Lebron James, WWE's John Cena Join Amy Schumer and Judd Apatow’s 'Trainwreck' Movie Cast

As two-time NBA Finals Champion Lebron James and the rest of the Miami Heat team continue their battle with the Brooklyn Nets in the second round of the 2014 NBA Playoffs, it has been announced that James will team up with former WWE Champion John Cena in upcoming new comedy film "Trainwreck," written by comedienne and "Inside Amy Schumer" star Amy Schumer.

James and Cena join an all-star cast that includes Schumer, funnyman Mike Birbiglia, rapper/actor Method Man and SNL alums Colin Quinn, Bill Hader, and current SNL member Vanessa Bayer.

The "Trainwreck" movie is being directed by legendary filmmaker Judd Apatow, who has made many memorable comedy movies including "Pineapple Express," "Bridesmaids," "Knocked Up," "The 40-Year-Old Virgin," "Superbad," "Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy," and its sequel "Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues."

In addition, he also has a very successful career working in various television roles (writer, actor, producer and director) with multiple shows including "Girls," "Freaks and Geeks," "Undeclared," "The Critic," "NewsRadio" and "The Larry Sanders Show" to name a few.

Along with "Trainwreck," James will also co-star with "Real Husbands of Hollywood" star Kevin Hart in another upcoming comedy film "Ballers," where the two men will play as brothers.

"LeBron James can do whatever he wants to do. You want to know why? LeBron James is a self-made man, so I think he can," said Hart to TMZ when he was asked if he believes the NBA superstar could be a good actor.

Previously, James was rumored to star in the "Space Jam 2" sequel but that report was squashed.

"Well it was fun while it lasted. LeBron sources refute Deadline report, there's no Space Jam 2 or Warner Bros. project in works," tweeted ESPN's Brian Windhorst on February 21.

The "Trainwreck" film is expected to arrive in U.S. movie theaters on July 24, 2015.
