League of Legends Doom Bots Mode: How to Win & Rewards, Differences in Difficulty Level Explained (VIDEO)
Recently added 'League of Legend's game mode "Doom Bots" has players roaming through the bushes and last hitting minion, utterly astonished at what they are witnessing.
The new mode has added the elements of nightmares into the game and has players flashing and recalling back to base with their knees still shaking.
Riot released three playable difficulty levels for the new Doom Bots mode: one bomb, three bomb, and the horrifying five bomb difficulty. The first level is available to all players immediately, but the others need to be unlocked by achieving a victory against the agonizingly strong bot team in the difficulty preceding it. After defeating all the difficulties, players will receive a Doom Bot Icon that they can show off on their Summoner's profile.
With each bomb level, players will notice considerable differences in what the enemy bot team can do, and what is happening all around the map.
When players start the match, they immediately notice that the map has been darkened to add a foreboding effect to the game. The game starts as usual, but there will never be an enemy that plays the position of "Jungler" on the Doom Bot team, there will be two bots Top Lane, one Mid Lane, and two bottom lane.
Important: Most Bots, besides Wukong and Cho'Gath, are AP damage types, meaning they primarily deal magic damage. It would be wise to purchase items with magic resistance when facing Doom Bots.
The following information describes the differences between the difficulty levels.
One Bomb:
At this setting, the bots will have enhanced abilities, and extra armor and magic resistance. One of the most feared Doom Bots currently roaming Mid Lanes is the champion Annie. Her level six ultimate ability summons the stunning Tibbers in a way that players have never seen before. Tibbers is enormous, about the size of Baron Nashor, and he really packs a punch (avoid Tibbers at all costs).
Doom Bots one bomb is fairly easy compared to the other settings, basic dodging and careful kiting will push the player through and unlock the next setting.
Three Bomb:
This is where the map actually becomes part of the force against players. While the Doom Bots retain all the abilities from the previous difficulty, the map also has its own attacks against players. Random Janna tornadoes, mini Fiddlesticks minions, surprise Hecarim charges, and even Garen ghosts pop up all over the map to catch players off guard.
Players will have to avoid the random elements strewn across the map as they face the upgraded Doom Bot Champions.
Five Bomb:
If players manage to get to this difficulty, they are in for some jaw dropping combat. All the aforementioned Doom Bot features are seen here, eight point Lux lasers, triple Blitzcrank pulls, and even the random Viktor ground beams. Beyond all that, the enemy Doom Bots receive incredible passive abilities. For example, Anivia's Egg passive seems to randomly occur after slaying a Doom Bot in the field, forcing players to attack again in the midst of all the chaos. Also everyone seems to spawn a Shaco type clone which bursts into daggers after its demise. Basically, this setting so random and chaotic that players could not possibly predict what is going to happen.
Overall Strategy
The key to defeating all of the Doom Bot settings and receiving the special event Doom Bot Icon, is split pushing and taking objectives. Players should focus on taking turrets and distracting Doom Bots first and foremost, as they are mostly programmed to attack and not to defend. While some of your teammates hold them off at base, it would be wise to send the fastest champion on the team to aim for inhibitors while the Doom Bots are distracted.
