"The Hills" star Lauren Conrad is officially engaged to be married. Her future husband, William Tell, proposed to her over the weekend in Los Angeles. Conrad wrote a small message on her website that said, "I am very excited to share with you guys that William and I got engaged over the weekend. I am beyond thrilled! Get ready for lots more wedding context here on LaurenConrad.com as we begin the planning process. William and I are overwhelmed by all of your warm wishes. Thank you so much for sharing in this special moment."

Conrad's claim to fame was her recurring role in the hit MTV show "The Hills" that followed around several Southern California high school students during their senior year. She followed her TV appearances with a successful stint as a fashion designer and then disappeared from the public eye for several years before returning with a marriage announcement.

William Tell is currently a law student at University of Southern California and a songwriter. He played guitar in the rock band Something Corporate and grew up in Orange County, California.

The cast from "The Hills" has come a long way since their drama-obsessed teen years. Conrad's rival, Kristin Cavallari, is married to NFL quarterback Jay Cutler and her ex-boyfriend Jason Wahler was recently married to model Ashley Stack.
