Larry Gatlin, Toby Keith and Jack Ingram to Perform at Texas Heritage Songwriters Hall of Fame Show
This year's inductees into the 8th Annual Texas Heritage Songwriter's Hall of Fame will include Ronnie Dunn, Sonny Curtis and Roger Miller. Country music legend, and current Hall of Fame member Larry Gatlin was invited to perform at the event Sunday, March 3rd, 2013 at ACL Live at The Moody Theater in downtown Austin, Texas.
"Texas is my home, Nashville is my home away from home," says Gatlin. "Eight years ago I was voted into the Texas Heritage Songwriters' Hall of Fame and was then and am now very humbled by that great honor."
Jack Ingram will open the show. After Gatlin performs, country music star Toby Keith will perform a tribute to honor one of his favorite songwriters of all time, the late Roger Miller.
Every year at the Hall of Fame Awards show, a person is recognized for their contributions to the songwriting community. This year the late Robin Ratliff Shivers, Founder of Health Alliance for Austin Musicians (HAAM), a longtime philanthropist will receive the Darrell K. Royal Patron Award.
The awards show Sunday will cap a weekend long celebration. March 2-3, 2013 will be jam packed with past inductees and renowned songwriters and recording artists.
On Saturday, TxHSA will host the Darrel K Royal Songwriters' Homecoming where Chris Stapleton, Scotty Emerick and Mac McAnally will share some intimate acoustic performances.
