LA Lakers NBA Trade Rumors: Dispirited Lakers Target Chris Douglas-Roberts, Michael Beasley, Jordan Crawford, Eric Bledsoe

Los Angeles Lakers appear to be at an all-time low, as nothing seems to be working for them right now. The historic NBA franchise has not only missed out previous season's playoffs, but also lost Pau Gasol and failed to attract any big free agents this Summer.

While franchise star Kobe Bryant returns to the team following his recent injury, LA Lakers are desperately trying to build the best possible line-up around him, trying to sign up players who are still left on the market.

In fact, the Lakers have already initiated moves to bring in Ed Davis, Carlos Boozer and Jeremy Lin for the 2014-2015 NBA season. Unfortunately, none of these players are currently players of All-Star caliber. Nevertheless, they could fit together as nice pieces with the remaining squad that includes Steve Nash, who is apparently on his last year provided he remains sufficiently healthy to stay on the court.

Among the free agents that are still left on the market, it seems that the best options for the LA Lakers include Chris Douglas-Roberts, Michael Beasley, Jordan Crawford, and Eric Bledsoe. Although Bledsoe is considered to be the strongest player among these free agents, it is still expected that he will re-sign with his present team, the Phoenix Suns.

According to Lakers head coach Byron Scott, he is considering making a new identity for the NBA franchise, and is planning to retrieve the previous championship winning plays of this popular franchise of the NBA league.

Last week, Kobe Bryant made some interesting comments regarding the current Cleveland Cavaliers rookie, Andrew Wiggins, he said, "Cleveland is making the same mistake that Charlotte made with me.

By saying this, Kobe Bryant was referring to Charlotte trading him even after they drafted him in 1996 for Vlade Divac. At that time, this appeared to be a good trade, but now it is evident that in the long run, the Lakers got the better end of the deal. It would be exaggerating to think that Wiggins would be the next Kobe Bryant, but there is little doubt that Wiggins enjoyed the comment. In fact, it is likely to provide him further more motivation if he signs in for Minnesota provided the Kevin Love deal withstands.
