LA Lakers NBA Trade Rumors: Rajon Rondo Going to Be Traded To Lakers?
Following the trade of the 26-year-old power forward and center Kelvin Love, loads of rumors involving a Los Angeles Lakers NBA trade are circulating on the Internet. Most of these rumors involve Boston Celtics, Rajon Rondo.
A recent article by Fansided speculates the possibility of Rajon Rondo being traded sometime soon, because he himself has already submitted a request for a trade. In fact, the website further reports that Rondo may be transferred to a new team "before the season gets too far in."
This has given rise to new speculation as to which team Rajon Rondo may play for next. Many fans are now wondering what the Boston team will get in exchange for Rondo's trade.
Another article by Eddie Scarito on Hoops Rumors seems to hold some credence. Scarito's article reads, "Los Angeles could offer some combination of draft picks, Julius Randle, and one or both of Jeremy Lin's and Steve Nash's expiring deals, plus the Lakers probably could be talked into taking on Gerald Wallace's $20MM+ that he's owed over the next two seasons as well."
The article goes on to say, "This couldn't be a bad return for Boston, especially if they could rid their books of Wallace's deal in the process. One major hitch would be convincing Rondo to re-sign with the Lakers, which MacMullan said he wouldn't be willing to do."
While this particular Los Angeles Lakers trade rumor has yet to be confirmed, there is also a possibility that eventually Rajon Rondo may not be all that eager to sign up with Los Angeles Lakers again. Nevertheless, it is important for Boston Celtics to forget about the rivalry with the Los Angeles NBA franchise, provided it wants to get the package, including Randle, Lin, and Nash.
