Lakers NBA Trade Rumors, News: Newest Addition to Los Angeles Jordan Clarkson
The LA Lakers have confirmed its acquisition of Jordan Clarkson, who can now be unveiled as an official member of the team.
The newest addition to the LA Lakers team is a Filipino-American player who played college basketball for Missouri and Tulsa. Intrigued with the potential of this newbie, Lakers paid the Washington Wizards to secure the 46th overall draft pick which cost them $1.8 million. Lakers have witnessed Clarkson's potential as he played competitively as a point guard and shooting guard with Steve Nash, Jeremy Lin, Nick Young, Kobe Bryant and Xavier Henry on the court.
Aside from Clarkson, the newest additions to the Lakers for the 2014 season include Carlos Boozer, who was acquired by Chicago Bulls last 2008 with their sign-and-trade with Utah Jazz before he was picked up by Lakers with an amnesty waiver. His salary for this season is $16.8 million, as Lakers pay $3.25 million of it and Bulls pay the remainder.
Also, Jeremy Lin who was known for the "Linsanity" craze, and a former member of Houston Rockets is on the team, along with Ed Davis, a former member of the Memphis Grizzlies who was traded from Toronto Raptors. Additionally, Julius Randle, a newbie in the professional career, is now on the LA Lakers.
Carlos Boozer will play as power forward. Jeremy Lin will play as a guard. Ed Davis will play as power forward and center. Julius Randle will play as power forward.
Moreover, the LA Lakers is interested in Michael Beasley and Shawn Marion. Having one, or both of them, is speculated to provide depth to the roster.
