Zack Greinke (17-38, 2.71 ERA) is looking to shutdown St. Louis Cardinals' relentless offense when he pitches Game 2 of the 2014 National League Division Series on Friday night.

"We've got our pitching set up the way we want it," said Dodgers manager Don Mattingly to reporters. "Hopefully, if everything goes well."

The Dodger skipper also talked about his potential Game 3 starter Hyun-Jin Ryu, who previously had a left shoulder irritation which sidelined him since September 9.

"That, obviously, would depend on how he gets there, if there's a bunch of battles trying to get there and how he's pitching," said Mattingly to reporters, "But we don't feel like he's lost a ton of arm strength. He's been through this once before -- I think he missed 21 days or something, came back and threw really well."

Meanwhile, the Cardinals are looking to defeat the Dodgers in Game 2 of the best-of-5 series when the two NL squads continue their series in California.

Cardinals expect that their younger hurler Lance Lynn (15-10, 2.74) will counter Greinke's potential performance in the upcoming matchup between these top teams of the MLB.
