Contrary to earlier reports, broadcasting giant ABC has confirmed that 'Veronica Mars' actress Kristen Bell will not play Princess Anna in the 'Frozen' TV adaptation in 'Once Upon a Time'.

Despite the fact that Bell was originally cast in the blockbuster movie as the voice for Arandale's princess, the show's production has chosen newcomer actress Elizabeth Lail to portray the 'Frozen' character instead.

Bell, the 33-year-old actress, revealed in June that she is expecting her second child with husband and 'Parenthood' star Dax Shepard. The 'Hit and Run' couple welcomed their first child, Lincoln, March of last year, and got married in October of the same year. Lincoln, the eldest child with her 39-year-old husband, is only 15 months old.

Kristen recently graced the red carpet at the Lexus Short Films Series on July 30 in L.A., wearing a navy blue Monique Lhuillier cocktail dress. This was the actress's first red carpet appearance following her pregnancy announcement the month prior.

On a side note, Bell recently joined the 'Hair' musical for Hollywood Bowl as 1960's hippie chick, Shiela, who sang in protest to Vietnam in the revival of the trivial 1967 American love-rock music fest. 'Hair' is directed and choreographed by 'Hairspray' director Adam Shankman.

The list of actors and actresses set to appear onstage with Bell includes, 'Glee' stars Amber Riley and Jenna Ushkowitz, 'Modern Family' actress Sarah Hyland, 'Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter' star Benjamin Walker, 'Weeds' star Hunter Parrish, singer Mario and actor Kevin Chamberlain.
