Kree Harrison Sings "With A Little Help of My Friends" on 'American Idol' Top 9 Episode

Tonight's episode of American Idol Season 12 is underway. The Top 9 contestants: Angie Miller, Kree Harrison, Candice Glover, Janelle Arthur, Amber Holcombe, Lazaro Arbos, Devin Velez, Paul Jolley, and Burnell Taylor will be choosing from the "Lennon/McCartney" songbook.

Kree Harrison is the first singer to take the stage. Famed music producer Jimmy Iovine is back giving the contestants advice. Calling Kree Harrison, "a natural" Iovine believes her "With a Little Help From My Friends" song choice is tailored perfectly for her voice.

Backed by a full choir and rock band, Kree Harrison delivers an incredible, yet subtle performance. Every trill during the bridge is spot on, nailing every note. Yet during the performance I kept feeling like Kree Harrison may have been holding a little back. All in all, the nerves being the first performer must be through the roof but Kree Harrison stood her ground.

The judges unanimously voted her through the next round with stellar reviews.

Idol judge and Nashville representative Keith Urban said Kree Harrison embodies, "all the cool things about country music."

Bubble gum diva Nicki Minaj said Kree Harrison gave her, "all black realness...you are the whole entire package."

Randy Jackson, in true "dawg" fashion, "the confidence is through the roof, dude," and cited a complete 180 degree confidence boost.

Mariah Carey teased Kree Harrison a little bit. "I didn't think it was good," pausing for dramatic effect. "I thought it was fan-freaking-tastic."

Before switching to a commercial break, host Ryan Seacrest announced Burnell Taylor will be performing next.

According to unconfirmed sources, who accurately predicted Kree Harrison's "With A Little Help From My Friends" song choice, Burnell Taylor will be performing the Paul McCartney #1 hit, "Let It Be".
