Kree Harrison, Candice Glover Kick Off 'American Idol' 2013 Finale with "Angel" by Sarah McLachlan and "Chasing Pavements" by Adele [VIDEO]
Kree Harrison believes she can be the next American Idol, at least according an adorable interview on the Rosie O'Donnell Show when she was younger. Candice Glover thinks the same thing.
American Idol 2013 kicked off its finale episode tonight on FOX at 8/7c. Country sweetie Kree Harrison kicked off tonight's episode with an intimate rendition of Sarah McLachlan's "Angel". Beautiful. That one song alone might win her the crown.
A little adrenaline is an understatement. Let's see what the Idol judges think about Kree's first song.
In true American Idol fashion host Ryan Seacrest goes to a commercial break. Apparently the panel doesn't critique the finale performances. Shux, I really wanted to witness a Nicki Minaj, Mariah Carey show down.
Candice Glover is up next. She's singing "Chasing Pavements" by Adele. No Candice you "should not give up" despite the song's lyrics.
American Idol producer Simon Fuller was responsible for choosing Kree and Candice's first song. Might I say he was spot on picking "Angel" and "Chasing Pavements" for the two remaining singers.
Finally word from the Idol judges.
Mariah Carey called the talent this season "mind-boggling" and "refreshing."
Randy Jackson called Candice and Kree a "good final two," but said Simon Fuller chose the wrong two songs. Is that a jab because Randy Jackson is leaving the show after Season 12.
Gotta love live American Idol. Carly Rae Jepsen will be gracing the Idol stage, after the commercial break, debuting her fan interactive song "Take A Picture".
Stay tuned for the rest of the American Idol 2013 Season 12 finale performances.
