Kree Harrison on 'American Idol' Elimination, Grand Ole Opry Debut, New Single "All Cried Out" [VIDEO]
American Idol 2013 runner-up Kree Harrison made her Grand Ole Opry debut Tuesday, playing alongside Idol judge Keith Urban. Kree Harrison sang three songs: her first post-Idol single, "All Cried Out" and the classic hymn "In the Garden" which she dedicated to her father whom Harrison lost to a fatal plane crash when the singer was only 12 years old.
Harrison closed the night out singing a duet with Urban for a take on "Help Me Make It Through the Night" by American country music singer and songwriter Sammi Smith.
The Grand Ole Opry is a milestone in any country musician's career; one most aren't lucky enough to experience; one Kree Harrison never expected and will never forget.
"It was way more than I thought it was going to be. I was standing on the circle and trying to look around and kind of take everything in," the American Idol 2013 runner-up confessed.
What's next for Kree Harrison? The country balladeer is scheduled to perform at Wednesday's CMT Music Awards and will join fellow American Idol alum, Scotty McCreery in the City of Hope Celebrity Softball Challenge on Saturday.
Kree Harrison has the look, the voice and the down-to-earth personality to be huge in country music. Her debut single, "All Cried Out" is already selling well on iTunes, and her marquee performances should help convince label execs in Nashville to sign this girl to a publishing deal.
