Kings of Leon New Album 'Mechanical Bull' to Release September 24, Tour Dates 2013

The future of rock band, Kings of Leon, has been shaking for close to 2 years now with the band going into hiatus in 2011.  The band canceled their tour citing "vocal issues and exhaustion" when singer/frontman Caleb Followill ranted onstage and walked off at a show in Dallas never to return.

After that incident, Jared Followill (bass) tweeted: "I can't lie, there are problems in our band bigger than not drinking enough Gatorade."

So with the announcement that Kings of Leon is back releasing a new album has fans buzzing.

The new album will be called, Mechanical Bull, and is set to release September 24th.

Not many details have leaked about the record but Jared Followill did tell NME, "I thought we were going to make a really mature album but I'm amazed how youthful it sounds. It's like a mix of Youth & Young Manhood and Because of the Times.

Producer Angelo Petraglia has been confirmed to be working on the record in their Nashville studio.

Kings of Leon played at New York's Governors Ball last night and will be heading to Europe to play summer tour dates.

The Grammy Award winning band is made up of three brothers, Caleb, Jared and Nathan Followill and their cousin Matthew Followill.

They have had three No. 1 charted hits with "Sex on Fire", "Use Somebody" and "Notion". Their last record, Come Around Sundown, was released on October 18, 2010.
