Kings of Leon New Album 'Mechanical Bull' Release Date Set for September 24th, 2013 [VIDEO]
American rock band Kings of Leon are geared up to release their sixth studio album "Mechanical Bull" on September 24th, 2013. The quartet's new album has a thirteen track song list with two singles, "Supersoaker" and "Wait for Me," already released in the United States. The Kings of Leon 2013 tour has already included several UK dates and is scheduled to include an appearance at the iTunes festival in October.
Kings of Leon formed in Nashville, Tennessee over ten years ago and released their first album in 2003. Over the last ten years they have steadily built their commercial presence as the leading Southern rock band. On their new album "Mechanical Bull," they've made it clear that they want to return to their roots and make fun, uplifting roots rock.
The band claims they are getting "less serious with age," and antics such as having Saturday Night Live's Fred Armisen host their American Express Unstaged concert in London on Friday make it easy to see that they just want to have fun.
The new album will be available for download on iTunes and will be for sale in stores on September 24th 2013.
