Looking back on Game 4, the Kings had a glorious opportunity they let slip out of their hands. They had two separate one goal leads, but for the first time in the last two postseasons, Jonathan Quick looked, dare I say...average? It was the kind of momentum that allowed the Blackhawks to steal a game in L.A.
We've seen that L.A. is not going to go out there and outscore the Blackhawks. 2 goals is the most offensive explosion you're likely to see in Game 5. In their own building, the Kings only shot on goal three times in the entire third period.
Though L.A. can't find a way to get the puck in the net in the last two series, they are certainly not short on physicality. If the Kings can't escape Game 5 and 6 and bring the series back to L.A., they have a chance to wear down this Blackhawks team.
If they can extend the series the Blackhawks are looking at another 4-5,000 mile trip. Even if they win, the Blackhawks will be much more jet lagged than the Bruins who swept the Penguins in 4, and are back home on the couch watching Hawk players get thrown across the ice.
At the same time, the Blackhawks need to take care of business and that's going to be on Crawford's shoulders.
Tune in to see if the Chicago Blackhawks can close out the series against the Los Angeles Kings in Game 5 tonight, and advance to the 2013 Stanley Cup finals.
