Kingdom Hearts 3 Update: 'Final Fantasy XV' Tetsuya Nomura Leaves Directors Post to Focus on 'KH3'

New reports claim that renowned game director, Tetsuya Nomura, is shifting resources to focus on the development of 'Kingdom Hearts 3'. While gamers know the highly-anticipated title is still in its early production phase, this new development helps support the rumors about a 2016 target release for the game.

Nomura previously headed Square Enix in the development of 'Final Fantasy XV', but since "FF XV's" introduction at the Tokyo Game Show (TGS) 2014, he decided to change focus toward 'Kingdom Hearts 3'.

Hajime Tabata, the man behind 'Final Fantasy Type-0' and 'Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII', will be taking over Nomura's post.

Square Enix assured fans that Nomura temporarily leaving the team will not affect the completion of "FF XV," which is expected to be the best Final Fantasy installment so far.

Other game titles to be released on TGS 2014 include 'Kingdom Hearts 2.5 HD Remix', 'Dragon Quest X Online', 'Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King', and 'Dragon Quest IV'. Square Enix will also be pushing for 'Final Fantasy Explorers'.

As gamers, it's also wise to watch out for 'Bravely Second' on 3DS as well as 'Chaos Rising III: Prequel Trilogy' on the PS Vita. TGS 2014 will run from September 18 to 21.
