For King & Country Makes Big Splash at New Release Tuesdays's First Annual We Love Christian Music Award

for KING & COUNTRY made an impressive impact at NewReleaseTuesday's WE LOVE CHRISTIAN MUSIC AWARDS taking home two of the biggest honors in the inaugural event. The awards, created and produced by the Christian music website, NewReleaseTuesday, and sponsored by Grand Canyon University, honored artists in 25 categories. for KING & COUNTRY took home the coveted "New Artist of the Year" honors and the "Song of the Year" award for their hit song "The Proof of Your Love."

"After months of recording and late nights working on Crave, this support is a huge encouragement," said for KING & COUNTRY's Joel. "Our goal is to write honest music that give hope. Thank you for believing in us."

Close to ten thousand fans voted in late 2012 and early 2013 for the awards and the results were announced in early 2013. Twenty of those awards were handed out live in front of more than a quarter of a million people during the 20-city tour of the "Rock & Worship Roadshow."

Aussie duo for KING & COUNTRY are currently out with their third single, "Middle of Your Heart," from their debut album, Crave, which was named iTunes "Breakthrough Christian & Gospel Album of 2012." On January 10, they made their late night debut performing "The Proof of Your Love," Amazon.com's "Christian Music's Song of the Year," on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno." In 2012, for KING & COUNTRY were named as one of Billboard's 17 acts to watch and were CCM's best-selling new artist. NewReleaseTuesday noted that Crave was "One of the best debut projects in Years!" ET's "The Insider" said they "make music that speaks directly to your heart" and they have been "gaining popularity in the alt-rock genre." American Songwritercommented that "for KING & COUNTRY may just be Australia's answer to Coldplay."
