Kim Walker-Smith, the powerful lead vocalist of Jesus Culture, released a new album with hubby, Skyler Smith, today, July 16. 

The Album, entitled 'Home', is an intimate reflection of both life with God and life with each other. 

"We have decided that we wanted a marriage were we do life together...

it also includes this element of a married couple who have decided to fight for an incredible unity in their relationship and their marriage and create art together," Kim Walker-Smith said.

Fans are excited to hear Skylar's voice on CD for the first time, as his veteran wife is usually the front-man. The single, also entitled 'Home' has a rhythmic upbeat, almost remnant of a blue-grass dance-off on a warm sweet night in the South, sings about finding a home in 'you'. the listener wades in and out of this song being a love ballad to a spouse and a love song to Jesus. Maybe its both. 

"We started off working at home basically trying to capture something that was real intimate form our hearts and basically from our relationship with the lord at him; our personal relationships. " said Skylar Smith. 

Make no mistake, it is a worship album, with songs like 'Beauty of Your Presence' and 'Oh Beautiful' climbing the scale. Both tracks leave the listener soaring in the presence of God. 

"this album is completely different from any album that we've ever done before. It doesn't sound like me and it doesn't sound like Jesus Culture. It really is something different and unique that's both of us combined, mixed together," Kim Walker-Smith said.

The album, originally projected to take 2 months to write and produce, ended up taking over a year a half. The Walkers, who are self-declared stubborn folks, simply didn't want to rush the process. Amidst the writing of the album, the Walkers became pregnant. 

"In a sense we're birthing out a new sound. Its something that we've never created before. It's something that never been done with the two of us. and than it's funny that we ended up getting pregnant in the middle of this project. I thinks kind of a unique parallel there", Kim Walker-Smith said.
