Kim Kardashian and Kanye West Wedding Officiated by Popular Evangelical Youth Pastor Rich Wilkerson Jr. (VIDEO)

Pastor Rich Wilkerson Jr. is gaining a lot of buzz from mainstream media for officiating the mega wedding of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West. Many Christians have criticized the young adult pastor but another popular pastor has come to his defense.

"So happy for these two," Wilkerson wrote under the photo of himself, his wife, and the newly weds. "Grateful for their friendship. The best is yet to come #marriedlifeisthebestlife."

Wilkerson has been a friend of both Kim and Kanye for a few years now. They reportedly first met after they attended one of his services during a trip to Florida in 2012. According to People, Rich and his church became a safe haven for Kim and Kanye.

Many believers criticized Wilkerson for promoting West and Kardashian because West has said many things that have been pegged "Blasphemous" by Christians, but Hillsong NYC pastor Carl Lentz came to Wilkerson's defense by reposting the Instagram photo supporting the pastor.

"I am really proud of and thankful for @richwilkersonjr@dawnchere ..they have faithfully served in the shadows and spotlights of south Florida for a long time.." Lentz wrote. Adding, "they are humble and generous and they love everybody..and serve everybody..they will even be loyal friends to..wait for it..'famous' people!! Much to the dismay of the religious and the small minded.. I for one, am glad people like these two, are ambassadors for the cause we live and die for..the 'whosoevers"..#occupyallstreets #churchinthewild #EPH320.'"

West trusts Wilkerson to advise him. The controversial rapper mentioned in a former interview that the young Pastor encouraged him to use a mock Jesus during his Yeezus Tour.

The pastor has also used West's song "No Church in the Wild" to promote a series he did at his ministry called "Church in the World."

Wilkerson is well known among evangelicals in the United States. He is an associate pastor at the non-denominational Trinity Church in Miami. The 30-year-old, comes from a long line of pastors, and also runs, The Rendezvous, a young adult ministry at the church.

He comes from a long line of pastors; his grandfather and great uncle worked with Mother Teresa in Calcutta. His father, the senior pastor of the church, has a relief ministry to Haiti.
