Kim Kardashian's BlackBerry Collection: Reality Star Stockpiles BlackBerry Gold Smartphones
BlackBerry should consider making Kim Kardashian its brand ambassador because recent reports revealed just how loyal the model and reality TV star is to the brand. Apparently, Kim continues to use her years-old BlackBerry Gold, and even keeps spares in case they break.
She recently said, "BlackBerry is my heart and soul," adding, "I love it. I will never get rid of it."
Although Kim still uses a very old BlackBerry Gold, the actress also possesses an iPhone, which she uses for posting photographs and other items on the social media.
In a recent interview, Kim said, "Sometimes I'll send up a Twitpic on my BlackBerry," adding, "I use an older one, though. They don't have them in stores anymore. I buy them on eBay. I have three lined up in my room so if they break. If one breaks and I'm down to two, I search on eBay until I have my third. I have anxiety I'll run out."
Incidentally, Kardashian rose to fame following some notoriety, which she leveraged into a reality TV show and subsequently developed a huge following on social media. In fact, a photograph shot in May during her wedding to rapper Kanye West turned out to be the most liked photograph in the history of Instagram, with a whopping 1.92 million people expressing their admiration for the picture.
On a side note, there is currently 24.8 million people follow Kim Kardashian on Twitter.
In June, Kim also introduced a video game, titled 'Kim Kardashian: Hollywood', in collaboration with Glu Mobile. The free game includes in-app purchases for clothing and other items soon gained huge popularity in the Apple App Store rankings becoming on of the most-downloaded free-to-play games.
Meanwhile, the Canadian mobile phone manufacturer BlackBerry has been struggling to gain traction in a mobile market dominated by Apple and Google's Android operating system. In January 2013, the company assigned singer Alicia Keys as its global creative director to inspire the future of the company. However, they parted ways just this year.
