Kid Cudi Tour 2013. "The Cud Life Tour 2013". Tour Review.

Kid Cudi just finished up his fall tour "The Cud Life Tour 2013" in Montreal, Canada yesterday. The headlining tour was in support of "Indicud" (Cudi's latest album), and featured fellow popular Rap stars such as Big Sean, Tyler, The Creator, and Logic. The 13 state tour featured Kid Cudi going completley solo on stage and rapping out to his most popular songs. The rapper that calls himself "Mr. Solo Dolo", fit the part quite well when he performed at the Bell Centre last night for his final "The Cud Life Tour" performance. With only a microphone stand and an empty stage, Kid Cudi performed a dance in a spacesuit outfit that left fans wandering if the $60 tickets were worth it. As the show went on, fans realized Kid Cudi had no intention to be anything he wasn't, because running solo and performing how he did, was his exact way of looking at the art of Rap.

Kid Cudi's reviews for his tour were not amazing, but they werent terrible. Like usual Rap concerts, you expect a certain hype from the crowd and an overabundance of extra artists and people hitting the stage. With Kid Cudi, it was himself alone and his music that was in charge of the large crowds reaction. By Kid Cudi performing solo in the recording studio and taking the name "Mr. Solo Dolo", one can expect a certain person to stick to himself on stage. Yet, in his concerts, it is very evident that Kid Cudi works alone as he struggled to keep the volume high during the tour. According to the Montreal Gazette, Kid Cudi's performance in the Bell Centre came off as highly amateurish at first, but as time went by, the crowd began to liven up a little after popular songs such as "Pursuit of Happiness" and "Day N' Nite". Even with his most popular songs, the crowd wasnt all that pleased by the end performance. With Kid Cudi's lack of accompaniment by fellow artists not being completely damaging to the "The Cud Life Tour", it would have definintley made a more memorable expierence for all of his fans, and the ticket price much more worth it.
