Reports have surfaced saying Khloe Kardashian and French Montana have ended their relationship. Apparently, the 'Keeping Up With The Kardashians' star broke it off with the "Freaks" rapper because he was too dependent on her.

Allegedly, Montana has been reluctant to accept the fact that Kardashian no longer wants a relationship with him. Until now, the pair had been dating for about eight months.

A source told Us Weekly, "The relationship got too heavy and Khloe needed to take a step back."

Rumors about a Kardashian and Montana relationship began to emerge shortly after Kardashian's split with basketball player Lamar Odom. Before their romance was confirmed, the couple was spotted enjoying several romantic getaways together.

After admitting that they are in a relationship, the couple then faced issues of gossip and rumor. For one, the Kardashian family was allegedly against Khloe's relationship with Montana, as he was using the 'Keeping Up With the Kardashians' star to boost his own fame.

Meanwhile, the Khloe Kardashian and French Montana break-up is said to be bothering Kris Jenner.

Although reportedly against Montana, Kardashian's mother is worried now that her 30-year old daughter is single once again. Jenner fears that the recent break up would make Kardashian run back to the arms of former husband Lamar Odom.

A source said on the matter, "Kris thinks Khloe is very vulnerable right now and the last thing she needs to do is jump back into a relationship with Lamar. Kris always feared this would happen because she knew, as Khloe's mother, that her daughter wasn't over Lamar. Call it a mother's instinct."

The Kardashian matriarch hopes her daughter will stay single for a while to completely get over the divorce from Odom.

The source went on to say, "Kris feels that Khloe needs to stay single and just heal, something she never really did because she got so [serious] and heavy with French Montana, which Kris thinks was a total distraction."
