Kevin Sharp, 'Nobody Knows' Singer, Dead at 43
Country star Kevin Sharp died over the weekend on April 19th. He was 43 years old. His website released an official statement. The untimely death of the star shocked fans, and many will miss the man and his music.
"We are saddened to announce the passing of Platinum Country Recording Artist Kevin Sharp on Saturday April 19, 2014 at 10:00 pm PST. Born on December 10, 1970, Kevin took the Country Music scene by storm with his first #1 hit, "Nobody Knows." He had several other hits to his name and in the last few years, traveled the country with an extremely successful Motivational Speaking career," the statement read.
The statement on his website also gave the singer's cause of death.
"Kevin died due to ongoing complications from past stomach surgeries and digestive issues."
His website offered instructions for those who would like to make a donation to charity in the singer's memory.
"It is requested that if anyone would like to make a donation in Kevin's memory, that donations be made to the closest Make A Wish Chapter in the donor's area so that wishes can continue to be granted for other children. Click here to donate."
Sharp's mother spoke to CNN about the untimely death of her son.
"He had a good, strong heart," she said. "He's not hurting anymore," she said.
