Kesha Lawsuit News: Singer Amends Complaint Against Dr. Luke, Adding Sony Music Entertainment

The long legal battle between singer Kesha and Dr. Luke continues adding yet another party in the mix, that is, Sony. Recently, pop star Kesha amended her complaint in her lawsuit against Dr. Lukasz Gottwald including Sony Entertainment for apparently encouraging and supervising the alleged misconduct of Dr. Luke.

A copy of the complaint was released with Kesha stating that Sony "had knowledge of Dr. Luke treating female entertainers under his tutelage and supervision in the same manner as alleged here regarding (Kesha), which includes physical and emotional abuse."

The complaint continues saying that the Entertainment company provided "unfettered and unsupervised access to vulnerable female artists beginning their careers and who would be totally dependent upon Dr. Luke for success."

The case dates back in October 2014 where Kesha initially filed a case against the music producer, Dr. Luke including his companies Kasz Money, Precription Songs, Where Da Kasz At? and Kemosabe Records-for sexual assault, sexual harassment, gender violence, civil harassment, intentional infliction of emotional distress and others.

Kesha filed the initial suit mentioning that "For the past ten years, Dr. Luke has sexually, physically, verbally and emotionally abused [her] to the point where [she] nearly lost her life," the lawsuit stated adding, "Dr. Luke abused [her] in order to destroy her self-confidence, self-image, and self-worth so that he could maintain complete control over her life and career."

Dr. Luke recently responded discrediting Kesha's claims stating, "It's a further pleading full of the same baseless and unsupported allegations and a claim that smacks of desperation. In our view the amendment is ill advised and does not serve the plaintiff in any way," he said in a statement.

It wasn't the first time that the music producer reacted against Kesha's complaint previously stating that the singer made false accusations against his character releasing a statement through his lawyer saying, "Kesha's lawsuit is a spectacular and outrageous fiction that will go down in flames. As the truth emerges, this sad and misguided smear campaign will only hurt Kesha," Dr. Luke's lawyer Christine Lepera told E! News. "This is hardly the first time that Kesha and her mother have threatened Luke with an extortionist scheme to ruin his reputation publicly unless he let her out of her contract. She did the same thing years ago."
