Actress Kerry Washington is very visibly pregnant and is scheduled to deliver the baby any day now. The popular actress recently revealed the difficulties she had filming the current season of Scandal, and how the season even had to be cut down as it was impossible to complete all episodes with how obvious her baby bump was becoming.

The 37-year-old actress, who plays 'Olivia Pope' on the hit show Scandal, has always been private about her personal life including her marriage with former NFL player Nnamadi Asomugha on June 24, 2013.

Despite difficulties with balancing pregnancy and filming, Washington did manage to get through fulfilling her role in Scandal even with her ever-growing baby bump. The season was, however, cut down to 18 from 24 episodes as filming the last four episodes became completely impossible.

In an interview with HollywoodLife.com, Washington expressed how she was thankful for the cast and crew of the series who assisted her throughout the journey in accomplishing her role while pregnant.

"I'm grateful to Lyn Paolo and all our producers. The decision of whether or not a character would be on a similar journey, I had nothing to do with that decision. I trust Shonda with all things. I feel very grateful that we have such an amazing team that was able to protect the character within the context of what the actress was going through," she added.

The Scandal production team's desire to conceal Washington's pregnancy has sparked some comical jokes online with The Wrap creating a photo gallery showing the 12 worst ways Scandal has tried to hide Washington's baby bump. Th comical shots point out how directors would use various camera angles to block out the bottom two-thirds of Washington's body so her baby bump would not appear. In some she is obscured by objects such as telephones, a pillow, and even an eagle wing from an ornament.
