The Kentucky Wildcats will go face to face with the Grand Canyon Antelopes on November 14 at the Rupp Arena in Lexington, Kentucky.

The Wildcats hopes to begin their 2014-2015 campaign with a win when they host the Antelopes on Friday night.

Kentucky head coach John Calipari talked about the ups-and-downs of a typical season in college basketball when he spoke in a recent discussion.

"Now, I've seen teams play unbelievable in November and December, and everybody thinks they're gonna do this and this. And they peter out. And normally when I see a team like that, I say 'They're too good too early. They're too good too early. You're playing like it's March, and the only thing you can do is come back,'" said Calipari to the Courier-Journal.

"So hopefully we have a real upside to this team. Playing four freshmen and a couple kids that didn't play much last year should do that for us."

The Wildcats are attempting to build upon their incredible (29-11) record from last season, underscored by Kentucky winning 12 out of their 18 games in the South Eastern Conference during the 2013-2014 campaign.

Meanwhile, the Antelopes are looking to upset the Wildcats when they battle one of the best teams in college basketball at Rupp Arena.

Grand Canyon is trying to rebound from their previous (15-15) mediocre record, despite winning 10 out of their 18 games in the Atlantic Sun Conference last season.
