Kenneth Bae, Pastor Imprisoned By Kim Jong-un's Atheist Regime for Christian Faith, Believes He's Been 'Abandoned' By US Government (VIDEO)
Christian North Korean Pastor Kenneth Bae's sister, Terri Chung, revealed in a new interview that her brother feels that he is being deserted by American government leaders.
"After months of silence, it is devastating to hear Kenneth talk about 'feeling abandoned by the United States government,'" said Chung in a declaration, according to a recent Fox News report, "Although we acknowledge and appreciate all the efforts the US State Department has been making behind the scenes to secure Kenneth's release, the fact remains that after almost 2 years, Kenneth still remains imprisoned in North Korea."
Chung further expressed her opinions regarding the lack of support her brother's belief received from the American government in his time of need.
"When we woke this morning to hear news about Kenneth, we joined him in feeling the disappointment, wondering when this will ever end," said Chung.
Bae has been behind bars since November 2012 after Kim Jong-un's communist atheist regime arrested him after accusing the Pastor of using his tour business as a facade in order to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ in the atheist nation.
Bae's mother Myunghee Bae previously spoke to CNN in 2013, and explained that her son's Christian faith was so spirited, he wanted to express his views.
"Always, he wanted to help the people over there, help the country," said Myunghee to CNN last year, "He always thought that way, but apparently he misunderstood their system, so a lot of things he realized -- he did some harm to their country."
Now in 2014, Bae's sister hopes the US government will do everything it can in order to bring Bae back home to America.
"With Kenneth's health continuing to deteriorate, we cannot afford to wait any longer," said Chung, "Please do whatever it takes to bring Kenneth home."
Pastor Kenneth Bae turns 46-years-old on August 8.
