Katy Perry and John Mayer Back Together? "Fireworks" Singer Collaborates with Ex on New Album "Prism" / Talks Relationship with Rihanna, Robert Pattinson with Elle UK

Are Katy Perry and John Mayer back together again?

Let's do some detective work.

First, Katy Perry has a new album coming out. It's called "Prism".

Katy Perry announced "Prism" via a gold semi-truck with "Katy Perry. Prism. 10/22/13" posted on the side of it.

John Mayer then posted a picture of said golden truck on his own personal blog.

With all things considered, it's safe to say at the very least the two are on good terms. But can we automatically assume the two are romantically involved again?

Word is Mayer is lending a helping hand and collaborating with his once girlfriend on Prism. In fact Perry confirmed the Mayer on the new album at the Smurfs 2 premiere.

In the upcoming September issue of Elle UK, Perry dishes about her relationship with John Mayer. A relationship that allegedly hit the rocks in February.

"He pulled away. That was a big hello for me. I realized I could lose the person I loved and I had to deal with some things, issues I think a lot of women have. You can be strong in one aspect of your life but submissive in another...The men I have gone for are challenging, yes, but they're also wildly intelligent and poetic. I'm not interested in taming anyone. I'm pretty wild myself."

In the same interview Perry talks about how much she loves Rihanna but worries about the toll "celebrity" may have on her.

"I love her and every time I see her, I'm reminded of the light that she has," Katy explained. "There's a lot of dark in this business."

"I know a lot of people out there with the most detrimental entourages-they are the root of their demise," she said, all but referencing Rihanna's ongoing feud with Chris Brown. "It's really unfortunate but you can't save these people. My days of celebrity saving are over."

The "Fireworks" singer also talked openly about her "friendship" with Twilight star Robert Pattinson. Though she was only trying to be a friend, Perry still felt the need to reach out to Rob's ex Kristen Stewart because of how the media was portraying her.

"I sent her a text message saying, 'I know you've seen all this stuff, but you know I would never disrespect you. I'm not that person,'" Katy told Elle UK.
