Kate Middleton & Prince William Name Their New Baby George Alexander Louis
Prince William and Kate Middleton have decided on a name for their new baby boy.
Kensington Palace announced in a statement that the boy's name is officially, George Alexander Louis. His official title is His Royal Highness Prince George of Cambridge.
Little George Alexander was born on Monday at 4:24pm (London time). The official announcement from Kensington Palace confirmed that he weighed in at 8 lbs, 6 ounces at birth.
Prince William and Kate left the hospital with their new baby boy on Tuesday, with George wrapped up in a white blanket. They had not announced a name at the time and Prince William said, "We're still working on a name, so we'll have that as soon as we can." William continued, "It's the first time we've seen him, really, so we're having a proper chance to catch up."
"It's very emotional," Kate said. "It's such a special time. I think any parent will know what this feeling feels like."
Names that were on the radar as potentials for traditional names were Louis, Henry, Albert and Arthur.
Prince William's full official name is William Arthur Philip Louis. It took his parents one week to officially announce his name to the public. His brother Harry's name was announced the day he was born.
Little George has no idea the life that is in store for him. At least it seems like he has good solid parents to be there by his side.
