Kate Middleton, Prince William Welcome Baby Boy / Royal Baby Watch Is Over / Don't Expect Baby Name Anytime Soon
Royal baby watch is over. Now the aftermath.
Kate Middleton and royal hubby Prince William welcomed a baby boy today!
The new heir is here! And boys run in the family.
"Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge was safely delivered of a son at 4.24 p.m.," the royal palace released in a statement. "The baby weighs 8 lbs. 6 oz. The Duke of Cambridge was present for the birth.
Apparently the baby boy is heavier than William as a baby. Middleton bringing in another strapping young lad?
The couple could not be happier and will spend the night in the hospital together.
How is the rest of the royal family taking the news?
"Both my wife and I are overjoyed at the arrival of my first grandchild," according to Prince Charles. "It is an incredibly special moment for William and Catherine and we are so thrilled for them on the birth of their baby boy."
"Grandparenthood is a unique moment in anyone's life, as countless kind people have told me in recent months, so I am enormously proud and happy to be a grandfather for the first time and we are eagerly looking forward to seeing the baby in the near future," Prince Charles added.
Don't expect a name for the next Prince anytime soon. Apparently it was a week before William's name was announced.
At least it gives us something to speculate over for days!
Stay tuned for royal baby name watch!
