Kate Middleton Pregnant, Latest Baby News: Health Issue Leads to Malta Trip Cancellation?
Kate Middleton is scheduled to go on a solo trip to Malta on behalf of Queen Elizabeth II, but media outlets are suspecting that the trip may have to be cancelled due to the health status of the Duchess of Cambridge.
The Duchess is supposed to be in Malta on September 20 and September 21 to attend the celebrations of the country's 50th Independence Day. If Middleton will not be able to go, it is likely that her husband Prince William will take her place instead.
It was recently announced that the Duchess of Cambridge is pregnant with her second child, and it appears that she is suffering from what the palace called "acute morning sickness."
It is suspected, however, that little Prince George's mother is experiencing hyperemesis gravidarium, a complication during pregnancy that induces nausea, vomiting, and dehydration.
When the Duchess was pregnant with Prince George, she reportedly experienced the same symptoms, and was even hospitalized because of the condition.
The Duchess' current condition has forced her to miss two other events already.
The first occasion Middleton missed was an event at Oxford University, and the second one was the opening ceremony for "Invictus Games" in London, England.
Despite the announcement of her condition, Prince William said during the Oxford event that his wife's pregnancy is obviously great news.
"She's feeling okay, thanks. It's been a tricky few days - week or so - but obviously we're basically thrilled, it's great news, and early days. We're hoping things settle down and she feels a bit better," said the Duke of Cambridge.
Meanwhile, the Royal Couple is said to be preparing for their move to a new home at Amner Hall in Norfolk. It is said that the couple will transfer to their family home once their second child in born.
